Training
Classroom Training
- Classroom training consists of up to 10 students
- Training takes place in a dedicated room or other on-site facility
- Average class length is 4 to 4 1/2 hours
- Workbooks and study materials are supplied at the classroom training
- Classroom training includes a safety training video
- Written test is given to all operators at the end of the training session
- Certificates and wallet cards will be granted upon successful completion of test
On-Site Operational Training
- Vehicles to be used in training undergo pre-operational inspection
- Inspection is documented and performed by trainer and operators
- Training includes hands-on operation of vehicle using techniques studied in the classroom
- Hands-on training observed and evaluated by instructor
